Divided Intentions

well well well.

I look for resolutions
Around this time of year,
it's always a thing that my close ones
and far aways, always do.
Sit in a circle and expound their
wants needs and desires.

I'll normally say a few things,
about change and a clarity to discourse
and hope that no one is ever pay attention

truly, they aren't
they're stuck inside
their own threeish pounds of introspection.

Christ, we spend, we all spend
such a terribly large portion of our time
on that internal hamster wheel.

Tiny housed and expunging records
of our past
records of physicality.
Photos and end tables
that were nested
in the corner
before we even moved in.

And others? We are the others
The others of inadequacy
The others of formation
The citizens of united front
and divided intentions.

What are yours? What are mine?
I just can't tell.
And I think it's only really time that will.

Expatriated to the warmth of the
southern sun.
Surrounded by cats and pads.
With a drink in hand
and a pencil near the other
Just some stained thought
and restrained longhand
on the paper below.

What will it read about?
Will that time ever actually be made?
Will we know?
Are we the worldly we?

Would we?
And would you want us to.
